Overview
SabreFix PU Liquid 5 Minute Wood Adhesive is a brown, moisture curing polyurethane adhesive which sets firm in 5 minutes. The adhesive is supplied as a liquid making it ideal for larger applications. It gives extremely high bond strength to most construction materials, and is resistant to most chemicals. The product foams slightly on application to fill small gaps, which increases bond strength.

How to Use
- Substrate Preparation
Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dust and grease free. One of the surfaces must be porous. Roughen non-pourous surfaces to give a key for the adhesive.
- Application
Apply adhesive evenly to one surface. If necessary, cover large surfaces with a fine-toothed spreader.
- Clamping
Assemble parts IMMEDIATELY and clamp for 5 minutes (at +20°C, longer at lower temperatures). After this time, the joint may be easily handled.
- Curing
Final and full bond strength will be achieved after 24 hours.
- Clean-Up
Any excess foam/adhesive must be removed with acetone before the product sets, or with a sharp chisel once set.

FAQs
Can SabreFix PU Liquid 5 Min Wood Adhesive be used on damp surfaces?
Yes, this will actually increase the speed of cure because the adhesive cures by exposure to moisture. If the moisture content exceeds 30%, then materials must be dried prior to bonding.
What is the cure time?
Cure time is dependent on ambient temperature and humidity, as well as substrate moisture content. Typically, a 5 minute clamp time is sufficient at 20°C.
Is SabreFix PU Liquid 5 Min Wood Adhesive waterproof?
Yes, it is waterproof D4 rated, and complies with the D4 standard, DIN 68602.
Does SabreFix PU Liquid 5 Min Wood Adhesive foam after being applied?
Yes, it features a small foaming penetration action which makes it ideal for bonding uneven or porous substrates as it will expand to fill surface cavities.
